Preparing the Coffee Base

To get started, I begin by making a larger batch of coffee using the Starbucks Christmas Blend.
It has spicy, refined flavors that work beautifully with holiday syrups and spices.
I personally love using dark roast beans, especially for latte-style drinks, because the strong flavor is the closest you can get to espresso without needing an actual espresso machine.
I use two scoops of coffee per cup that I’m planning to make.
Since I’m making two cups in the French press, I add my scoops, fill the French press with hot water, and place the lid on top.
I let the coffee steep for about five minutes, keeping the metal filter at the water line.
After steeping, I slowly press the filter down to separate the grounds. Now the coffee base is ready, and we can move on to the fun part—making each holiday drink.
Eggnog Latte

This one is probably my favorite of all four recipes.
To make it, start by adding a little bit of eggnog into a separate glass. This will be the creamy base you froth.
You can sprinkle in a little cinnamon, or even add chocolate syrup to turn it into a chocolate eggnog latte.
I use a small frother that I got from Target for about ten dollars. I add a bit of cinnamon and froth the eggnog until it begins to thicken.
I personally don’t like mine too thick—because I like it to blend easily into the coffee—but you can froth it to whatever texture you prefer.
After that, pour your fresh French press coffee into a mug. Add the frothed eggnog mixture on top and finish with cinnamon or cloves.
And just like that, you’ve got yourself a delicious, cozy eggnog latte made at home.
White Chocolate Mocha

For this drink, I switch to using my Keurig.
I make a dark roast blend and brew only 8 ounces of coffee so the flavor stays deep and strong.
In a separate cup, I add some milk—I used 2%—and then add my syrups.
I buy these syrups from TJ Maxx, and they’re only about three dollars a bottle and sugar-free.
For the flavor, I add:
- A splash of mocha syrup
- A bit more of the white chocolate syrup
Then I use the same frother to mix everything up. If you prefer a richer or thicker drink, you can use heavy whipping cream instead of milk.
Pour the mixture into the coffee and stir. That’s it—your super simple, super yummy white chocolate mocha is ready.
Gingerbread Latte

Next up is the gingerbread latte, and it’s just as easy as the others.
Start with milk or heavy cream in a separate cup. Then add the flavors:
- Cinnamon
- A splash of vanilla
- Two spoonfuls of brown sugar
- Cloves
- Ginger
Mix and froth the ingredients until combined. Then add it to your coffee.
I finished mine by adding a cinnamon stick, which looks festive and adds extra flavor.
And that’s how you make a cozy, warm gingerbread latte at home.
Peppermint Mocha

Last up is a classic holiday favorite—the peppermint mocha.
Using the Keurig again, brew a dark roast coffee at eight ounces. Then, like the other recipes, add milk or heavy whipping cream to a separate glass if you’d like a thicker texture.
Next, add peppermint syrup. The bottle I use is very strong, very yummy, and sugar-free. Froth the mixture until it reaches your preferred texture.
Pour the foam mixture into your coffee, add whipped cream on top, crushed candy canes, and even stir with a full candy cane.
I garnished one on the side as well. It looks festive, tastes amazing, and feels like a true Christmas treat.
Final Thoughts
I hope you guys got some inspiration from this little video. These are super quick, easy ways to make Starbucks-style lattes at home, and they’re so cheap to do.
I highly recommend trying them—plus you can customize the flavors however you want.
Like I mentioned earlier, the syrups from TJ Maxx are only about two dollars a bottle, so it’s a budget-friendly way to create delicious drinks without spending the big bucks at Starbucks.
I hope you enjoy this guide, and please like and shared—it really helps me and my blog. I’ll see you guys in the next topic.
